About VS Refrigair

Refrigeration and AC specialists

VS Refrigeration and Air Conditioning was established circa 1979 by Andries and Hannie Everson, who ambitiously sought to reach, as duel proprietors, their great vision of founding the vanguard of refrigeration and air conditioning companies in South Africa.

Owner

This vision was later passed down to Kobus Kriel, the Everson’s son-in-law and Hannetjie Kriel, their daughter, who together took over with principles of integrity, respect, and industriousness to accompany them in their precursor’s venture. VS has since grown into an emulously competitive company within the trajectory of refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, and heating industries.

From VS’s offices in Worcester, we have served customers and completed projects in areas as far as Porth Nolloth in the Northern Cape, Mossel Bay in the Southern Cape, Durban on the East Coast as well as Robben Island in the Western Cape.

Our teams are professionally trained and continuously up to date with cutting edge technology. VS is compliant with the standards that govern proper refrigerant installations and maintenance.

Here are some Common FAQ's

Regular maintenance is essential to keep your AC unit running efficiently. It's recommended to have your system serviced at least once a year, ideally before the start of the cooling season, to ensure optimal performance and prevent potential breakdowns.

Watch out for signs like reduced cooling efficiency, unusual noises, strange odors, or water leaks from your AC unit. If you notice any of these issues, it's important to schedule a professional repair service promptly to prevent further damage and maintain comfort in your home or business.

To enhance your AC unit's energy efficiency, you can:

  • Change or clean air filters regularly.
  • Ensure proper insulation and sealing in your home.
  • Use a programmable thermostat to manage cooling settings.
  • Schedule annual maintenance to keep the system clean and well-tuned.
  • Consider upgrading to a newer, more energy-efficient model when it's time to replace your old unit.
